«Los detectives salvajes» is the novel by Roberto Bolaño, published by Editorial Anagrama in paperback (624 pages, in Spanish).
Two Latin American poets, Arturo Belano and Ulises Lima, track in Mexico the traces of Cesárea Tinajero, a writer who disappeared after the Revolution. That search stretches over twenty years across several continents, amid loves, deaths, flights and asylums. A fragmentary novel mixing road, mystery and fierce humor.
The novel, originally published in 1998, won the Herralde Novel Prize and the Rómulo Gallegos Prize. This 2006 edition is volume 232 of Anagrama's Compactos collection.
For readers of contemporary Latin American literature and novels with multiple narrative voices.
