Los Evangelios Apócrifos

Synopsis of Los Evangelios Apócrifos

«Los Evangelios Apócrifos» is the anthology of apocryphal texts prepared by Pierre Crépon, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardcover (192 pages, in Spanish).

This work brings together a selection of ancient Christian writings excluded from the New Testament canon. It includes infancy gospels, passion narratives and Gnostic texts such as the Gospel of Thomas, and closes with an appendix of sayings of Jesus from other sources, showing the diversity of early Christianity.

Published in November 2004, it derives from Les Évangiles apocryphes, with a translation by Manuel García Viñó and a prologue by Iker Jiménez.

For readers interested in the history of Christianity, the early Church and the formation of the Bible.
