«Los patines de Sebastián» is the children's picture book by Joan de Déu Prats, published by La Galera, SAU, in hardcover (40 pages, in Spanish).
Sebastián is a very shy boy who speaks little, although he has many things to say. The story follows his journey from shyness to extroversion: when he puts on roller skates, he discovers a different way of moving and expressing himself, and gradually learns to overcome his fears and connect with those around him.
It belongs to the Picture Books collection, number 18, with illustrations by Francesc Rovira. It won the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Award in 2003.
Suitable for early readers aged 7 to 9; addresses shyness and self-esteem.
