The last Spaniards of Mauthausen is a non-fiction book that compiles the stories of the Spanish men and women who survived the Nazi concentration camps. Through their testimonies, the history of the deportees, their executioners, and the accomplices who made this tragedy possible is reconstructed. This book, published on the seventieth anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi camps, offers a deep look at the suffering, solidarity, and resistance of those who lived between the barbed wire of Mauthausen, Buchenwald, Ravensbrück or Dachau. In addition, it denounces the politicians, soldiers, businessmen, and nations that allowed the deportation of more than nine thousand Spaniards to the death camps.
