«Love Life» is the contemporary novel by Ray Kluun, published by Fazi Editore in hardcover (359 pages, in Italian).
Carmen and Stijn are a happy couple with a daughter, Luna, until Carmen's terminal cancer turns everything upside down. Stijn wavers between love and immaturity, nights out and infidelities, as they face hospitals and therapies. With Carmen, he rediscovers unconditional love. A raw and irreverent story about partnership and resilience.
Work originally published as «Komt een vrouw bij de dokter» and awarded the Publieksprijs voor het Nederlandse Boek in 2006. Italian translation by Claudia Di Palermo.
For readers of contemporary fiction interested in a real story about partnership and illness, told in a direct, unsweetened tone.
