«Lumen fidei» is the encyclical letter on faith by Pope Francis, published by Ediciones Palabra in paperback (96 pages, in Spanish).
First encyclical of Pope Francis, which takes up a text almost completed by Benedict XVI. It reflects on faith as a light that guides life, its relationship with truth and reason, and its social dimension, in continuity with the encyclicals on charity and hope. It calls for sharing faith and serving justice and peace.
Published in Madrid on July 5, 2013, it is number 1 of the Documentos MC collection by Ediciones Palabra.
It is a work recommended for people interested in theology, Christian spirituality and the magisterium of the Church.
Pope Francis was head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of Vatican City from 13 March 2013 until his death in 2025. He was the first Jesuit pope, the first Latin American, and the first pope born or raised outside Europe since the 8th-century Syrian pope Gregory III.
