«Madrid 1940: Memorias de un joven fascista» is the novel by Francisco Umbral, published by Planeta in hardcover (246 pages, in Spanish).

Umbral combines individual experience with verifiable names and places of the era and portrays the tensions between Franco and the Falange.
The book was published in 1993 within Planeta's Spanish and Hispano-American Authors Collection.
A read for those interested in historical fiction and literary revisions of early Francoism and the Spanish postwar period.
