«Memorias borbónicas» is the novel by Spanish writer Francisco Umbral, published by Planeta in 1992 in hardcover, 232 pages, in Spanish.
Umbral turns the novel into a social chronicle of the Spain of his time: it narrates the fall of Francoist aristocracies and the emergence of a new class, described as a refined right that replaces old capitalism. With recognizable characters, choral narration and agile dialogue, it blends fiction with political and social current affairs.
Published in Planeta's Autores españoles e hispanoamericanos collection, it went on sale on October 27, 1992.
A work for readers of Spanish fiction interested in social chronicle, politics and the portrait of privileged classes.
Francisco Alejandro Pérez Martínez, better known as Francisco Umbral, was a Spanish journalist, novelist, biographer and essayist.
