«Mascotas» is the children's flap-book of riddles by Adam Guillain and Charlotte Guillain, published by Edelvives in hardcover (8 pages, in Spanish).
Throughout its pages, the book offers riddles about pets: several clues are given and, when the flap is pulled, the answer appears. Lucia Gaggiotti's illustrations show a girl imagining the animal in thought bubbles, inviting young readers to join in the game.
It belongs to the collection «Adivina conmigo», with the original title «I'm Thinking of a Pet». Edition in capital letters, translation by Raúl Vacas Polo and illustrations by Lucia Gaggiotti.
Recommended for children aged 1 to 6; with its capital letters and short sentences, it serves as an introduction to reading.
