«Memorias de ultratumba I» is the first volume of the memoirs of François René de Chateaubriand, published by Orbis in hardcover (359 pages, in Spanish).
François René de Chateaubriand, witness to the French Revolution, traveler through the young American republic and connoisseur of the splendor and contradictions of the Napoleonic empire and the Restoration, turned memory into a dialogue with History. In this first volume, a melancholy and disillusioned gaze predominates.
First volume of «Memorias de ultratumba», published in Barcelona in the Colección Historia Universal de la Literatura no. 89 by Ediciones Orbis. Includes a prologue by Marc Fumaroli.
A work for those who enjoy literary classics, biographies and the history of France.
