«Mes comptines d'Afrique» is the children's book with CD of African songs by Souleymane Mbodj, published by Milan Jeunesse in 2010, in French.
It brings together traditional African songs for children, with French lyrics and simple melodies created by Souleymane Mbodj. The CD allows listeners to hear the sung versions while the black-silhouette illustrations of animals, trees and flowers fill every page. It is a gateway to the music and poetry of Africa.
The book includes an audio CD, as indicated on the cover: «1 livre 1 CD». The illustrations are by Gaëlle Dubast; the paperback edition has 28 pages.
For young children and for families or schools who want to discover African music in French.
