«Mitterrand et ses ombres» is the historical graphic novel by Patrick Rotman and Jeanne Puchol, published by Delcourt in hardcover (136 pages, in French).
Set in 1950s France, between the Cold War and decolonization, the work follows François Mitterrand as minister and reconstructs three cases that could have ruined his career: the 1954 leaks, the 1957 bazooka affair, and the 1959 Observatory attack. It portrays the shadows that official history silences.
The script is by Patrick Rotman and the artwork by Jeanne Puchol; the edition was released on April 21, 2021.
For readers of historical graphic novels and documentary comics interested in twentieth-century French politics.
