Moi, reine de Saba

Synopsis of Moi, reine de Saba

Artists and poets throughout time have nurtured the legend of the Queen of Sheba. In this novel, Michèle Kahn allows herself to be enchanted and tells us how, upon coming to pay homage to the king 'the wisest and most powerful on earth', Balkis encounters the one God. Guided by Solomon, she blossoms into a new existence as a woman and an accomplished sovereign. Many years later, the dethroned king of Israel resurrects for us the image of the proud black queen whose beauty and character made his reason waver, but whom he was able to lead on the path of wisdom.
