«Mujer perro» is Carola Aikin's short story collection, published by Editorial Páginas de Espuma in paperback (168 pages, in Spanish).
The stories explore a female voice divided between daily life and a wild, untameable impulse. The author builds a series of stories that works as a cry for help: the woman who narrates observes, digests and reinvents reality to survive. The book plays with opposites and fantastical territories through evocative prose.
Carola Aikin's second short story book, published in 2012 in the Voces / Literatura collection (no. 174). Her previous volume, Las escamas del dragón, appeared in 2005.
Aimed at readers of contemporary short fiction and literary fiction in Spanish who appreciate stories with a symbolic and fantastical atmosphere.
