Synopsis of Nabí
Nabí, que significa 'profeta' en hebreo bíblico, es la obra maestra de Josep Carner. Este poema, dividido en diez cantos, narra la historia de Jonás cuando Jahvé le encomienda la misión de predicar en la ciudad asiria de Nínive, a la cual él se niega. A través del arte de Josep Carner, esta antigua fábula bíblica, que enseña la lección del perdón y la piedad, se convierte en uno de los monumentos más importantes de la literatura de todos los tiempos. Esta edición, a cargo de Jaume Coll, reproduce el prólogo que Gabriel Ferrater escribió para la edición de 1970, añadiendo una introducción del curador e incorporando, en el apéndice, un estudio sobre la historia de la composición de la obra y un rimario completo del poema.
