«Nahima: la larga historia de mi madre» is the biography written by Edith Chahín, published by Mondadori in paperback (572 pages, in Spanish).
The book narrates the long life of Nahima, Edith Chahín's mother: born in Syria in 1896 and married at fifteen, she suffered Ottoman repression before emigrating with her family to America. There she had to adapt to a different life and, after being widowed, raise her children.
It is part of the «Mitos Voces» collection and was originally published in Spanish in 2002.
For readers of biographies and contemporary narrative with an interest in emigration stories.
