«Nasreddine et son âne» is the children's picture book by Odile Weulersse, published by Père Castor-Flammarion in paperback (32 pages, in French).
Nasreddine sets off for the market and, while he is extolling the virtues of his wares, someone steals his donkey. To unmask the culprit, he improvises such an unsettling story that the gathered crowd shudders. Rébecca Dautremer's illustrations accompany the tale with a pictorial, fantastical style.
Published in 2010, this title belongs to the Les P'tits albums du Père Castor collection and originally appeared as «Nasreddine» in 2007.
An illustrated tale aimed at young children, recommended from age 4.
