«Okili-kili» is the children's story by Juan Cruz Igerabide, published by Aizkorri in paperback (84 pages, in Basque).
Okili-kili, the youngest of three brothers, arrives late into the world: he breaks the egg with effort and is born weak, never fully growing. When he must live alone, a man helps him. This ecological tale speaks of respect for nature and love for animals, and shows what the life of these birds is like.
This 2003 edition belongs to the «Mendi sorgindua» collection and features illustrations by Jokin Mitxelena.
Recommended for young readers aged 10 and up, especially for those who enjoy stories about animals and nature.
