«Os Íntimos» is the novel by Inês Pedrosa, published by Dom Quixote in paperback (272 pages, in Portuguese).
The work delves into the male universe over the course of one night: the characters' memories and revelations intersect to sketch the experiences and decisions of a generation. After the female protagonists of «Nas Tuas Mãos», Inês Pedrosa here builds a portrait of men with subtle strokes.
The novel was awarded the Prémio Máxima de Literatura in 2011. Inês Pedrosa's books have been published in Brazil, Spain, Italy and Germany.
For readers of contemporary Portuguese fiction interested in human relationships and a choral male portrait.
Inês Pedrosa is a Portuguese journalist, novelist, short story writer, children's writer and playwright. She was director of the Casa Fernando Pessoa. Her novels have also been published in Brazil, Croatia, Ukraine, Germany, Italy and Spain.
