Os salvaré la vida es una novela histórica escrita por Joaquín Leguina y Rubén Buren, ganadora del Premio 2017 de Novela Histórica Alfonso X El Sabio. La trama recrea la vida de Melchor Rodríguez, conocido como El Ángel Rojo, un personaje histórico que jugó un papel importante durante la Guerra Civil Española y en la trayectoria del anarcosindicalismo español. La novela narra cómo Melchor defendió sus ideales, arriesgando su vida para evitar vejaciones y ejecuciones irregulares en las cárceles. Tras la guerra, fue juzgado, y solo el testimonio del general Muñoz Grandes y miles de firmas de personas a las que había salvado evitaron su condena a muerte.

Joaquín Leguina Herrán is a Spanish politician and writer. A former member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) from which he was expelled in 2022 over strong differences with Pedro Sánchez, he became the first President of the Community of Madrid, serving from 1983 and 1995. He also was Secretary-General of the Socialist Party of Madrid from 1979 to 1991.
