«Óscar Carmona» is the biography of the Portuguese military officer and president published by Quidnovi in the «As Duas Faces» collection, in paperback and in Portuguese.
The book approaches the figure of Óscar Carmona through two complementary perspectives: the military man who took part in Portuguese political life and the head of state who presided over the Republic during the Estado Novo. It combines the narrative with period photographs and texts, showing the two faces of a career that marked contemporary Portugal.
It is the thirteenth installment of the «As Duas Faces» collection; it originally appeared in 2009 in Portuguese.
It will appeal to readers of contemporary Portuguese history and to those who wish to learn about the careers of its political leaders.
