«Oto y la cometa» is the children's story by Elisa Mariscal, illustrated by Avi and Teresa Novoa, published by Santillana in paperback (15 pages, in Spanish).
The protagonist, Oto, with black ears and a striped T-shirt, runs holding the string of a red kite. The color illustrations show him in motion, with splashes of blue, green, yellow and orange paint forming a rainbow over the scene.
Published in 2002. Some catalogs cite it as «Oto y la cometa. Cuento 3», the third installment in the series.
For young readers who are starting to read; the short text and color illustrations support a first reading.
