«Pancreas: Trapianto del libro Cuore» is the humorous satire by Giobbe Covatta, published by Salani in paperback (159 pages, in Italian).
Starting from the idea of transplanting the universe of Cuore into a delirious school, Covatta presents a class with a nymphomaniac classmate, an eighty-nine-year-old repeater, and a student who sets himself on fire to avoid being questioned, along with teachers who tell very particular versions of classic tales. The satire alternates the absurd with a critical look at society.
It is Giobbe Covatta's second narrative work, after Parola di Giobbe; the 1993 edition includes illustrations by the author himself.
For those seeking absurd humor and social satire, with school as the setting and a critical look at society.
