«Papá Noel» is Raymond Briggs's children's picture book, published by La Galera in hardcover (28 pages, in Spanish).
With the feel of a comic strip, the book follows Father Christmas as he prepares for Christmas and sets out to deliver presents. The illustrations show the character in his red suit, with his beard and his bag of presents, and Raymond Briggs's characteristic humor accompanies every scene.
It is the first installment of Raymond Briggs's «Father Christmas» series; the original, published in 1973, won the Kate Greenaway Medal.
A children's classic for early readers and for reading aloud with the family, especially during the Christmas season.
Raymond Redvers Briggs was an English illustrator, cartoonist, graphic novelist and author. Achieving critical and popular success among adults and children, he is best known in Britain for his 1978 story The Snowman, a book without words whose cartoon adaptation is televised and whose musical adaptation is staged every Christmas.
