«Para siempre (cuaderno secreto de la niña Teresa de Jesús)» is the historical young-adult novel by Ramón García Domínguez (Anaya Infantil y Juvenil, hardcover).
The book recreates the imaginary notebook that Teresa de Cepeda y Ahumada —the future Saint Teresa of Jesus— wrote as a girl, in secret, between the ages of ten and fourteen. In that intimate diary, the girl Teresa tells of her daily life, her concerns and her relationship with her family. Ramón García Domínguez combines true anecdotes with fictional passages.
A 144-page work in Spanish, illustrated by Albert Asensio. It belongs to the young-adult literature collection Leer y Pensar-Selección and is recommended for ages 12 and up.
A read for young people interested in historical fiction, spirituality and the figure of Saint Teresa of Jesus.
