«Pequeños equívocos sin importancia» is Antonio Tabucchi's collection of short stories, published by Editorial Anagrama in hardcover (164 pages, in Spanish).
Stories set in a secret Tuscany, a Riviera station, a Baudelairean Lisbon, a vintage car rally and a train from Bombay to Madras: profiles of ironic and desperate characters that lead to a reflection on chance, the risk of choosing and the interstices of existence.
Volume 104 of Anagrama's Panorama de narrativas collection, translated by Joaquín Jordá; original Italian: Piccoli equivoci senza importanza.
For readers of contemporary fiction who appreciate atmospheric stories and modern Italian literature.

Antonio Tabucchi was an Italian writer and academic who taught Portuguese language and literature at the University of Siena, Italy. Deeply in love with Portugal, he was an expert, critic and translator of the works of Fernando Pessoa from whom he drew the conceptions of saudade, of fiction and of the heteronyms. Tabucchi was first introduced to Pessoa's works in the 1960s when attending the Sorbonne. He was so charmed that when he returned to Italy, he took an introductory course in Portuguese for a better comprehension of the poet.
