A personal and affectionate lexicon of theatre, in which Philippe Torreton explores his craft: the calling, the stage, touring, private and subsidized theatre, his beginnings at the Comédie-Française, and the precariousness of freelance performers. It includes tributes, demands, and thanks to teachers, authors, and colleagues.
The volume was published in 2009 and is part of Stock's Essais - Documents collection.
For readers who want to discover French theatre from the inside, through Philippe Torreton's personal perspective.
