«Pico Pic» is a children's story by Juan Cruz Igerabide, illustrated by Jokin Michelena, published by Everest in paperback (84 pages, in Spanish).
A photographer locates a family of woodpeckers and follows the days of the nest with his camera. Pico Pic, one of the chicks, barely eats and only sleeps; the photographer tries to make him react. The narration alternates with the little bird's thoughts, which show his fragility and his struggle to survive.
Published in 2003 within the series «Pájaros de cuento» of the Montaña encantada collection by Everest. The book is part of the publisher's children's and young adult catalog.
For a children's audience, especially for young readers who enjoy stories about animals and nature.
