«Pieuvres» is the science fiction novel by Christopher Stork, published by Fleuve Noir in paperback (184 pages, in French).
The novel «Pieuvres» starts from a historical fact: the use of animals in war, from pigeons and dogs to octopuses. The plot asks what would happen if those trained creatures turned their skills against humans, and in particular if octopuses decided to declare war on them.
«Pieuvres» is number 1312 in the «Anticipation» collection; the cover shows a ship attacked by a giant octopus.
A work aimed at science fiction readers who enjoy speculative premises about animals trained to fight.
