«Pinabete: Pequeña historia de un gran bosque» is the Spanish-language children's book by Juan Antonio de la Iglesia, published by Susaeta Ediciones in paperback.
Tiago, a boy whose classmates suggest he buy a forest and get lost in it, stars in this tale that is both funny and serious. The figure of Caramiel, a forest ranger, reminds us that a forest takes centuries to form but can disappear in a few hours, and the story becomes an ecological defense of nature, animals, and people.
Illustrated by Carmen Cano, with 140 pages, it belongs to the Las Campanas collection and was published in 1989.
Recommended for young readers aged 9 and up and for those who want a children's story with ecological sensitivity.
