«Possum Magic» is the children's picture book by Mem Fox, illustrated by Julie Vivas, published by Omnibus Books in hardcover (32 pages, in English).
When Grandma Poss's magic makes her granddaughter Hush invisible, the two possums set off on a journey across Australia in search of the food that will make her visible again. The trip takes them to sample typical dishes from various regions, in a tender story about family affection and food, with watercolor illustrations.
The work, originally published in 1983, won the Ethel Turner Prize in 1984 and the Canberra COOL Award in 1994.
Aimed at early readers and for reading aloud; also appreciated by adults who love classic picture books.
