«Whoever You Are/Quienquiera que seas» is the bilingual English-Spanish children's picture book by Mem Fox, published by Clarion Books in hardcover, with 28 pages.
The book shows that children around the world, though they live in very different places and cultures, share similar gestures and emotions: laughing, playing, learning, feeling joy, pain and love. A message of respect for diversity that invites readers to recognize what unites people. The illustrations, featuring children from different backgrounds around a globe, reinforce this idea of unity within difference.
Aimed at early readers aged 2 to 4, it is useful as shared reading at home or in the classroom to discuss multiculturalism, diversity and empathy from childhood.
