«Preaching the Cross» is the collective work of Mark Dever, Ligon Duncan, R. Albert Mohler, C.J. Mahaney, John MacArthur, John Piper and R.C. Sproul, in hardcover.
Work arising from the 2006 Together for the Gospel conference: seven evangelical pastors and theologians argue that proclaiming the gospel is the central task of pastoral ministry. They defend expository, cross-centered preaching, remind that the cross must remain the core of the preacher's work, and show unity on essentials from different evangelical traditions.
First edition published in April 2007 by Crossway Books. Text in English, 176 pages. Part of the «Together for the Gospel» series.
Aimed at pastors, preachers and theology students interested in expository preaching and pastoral ministry.

John Macarthur was a British Army officer, landowner, and politician, best remembered as a key organiser of the 1808 Rum Rebellion and a pioneer of the Australian Merino wool industry. Born in England, Macarthur joined the nascent New South Wales Corps in 1789; he quickly established himself as a particularly unscrupulous, volatile, and entrepreneurial member of the so-called 'Rum Corps'.
