At the dawn of the year 2000, ten years after the end of the Cold War, the evolution of the world moved away from the traditional model of interstate relations and power balances based mainly on political and military power. This work seeks to understand the profound transformations reshaping the global geopolitical chessboard: American hegemony, the collapse of Russia, the emergence of China, and the spiral of conflicts in Central Africa.
