«Querida María Antonieta» is the biography of Marie Antoinette written by Jean Chalon, published by Salvat Editores in paperback (446 pages, in Spanish).
The work follows Marie Antoinette from her arrival in Paris in 1770, when she has not yet turned fifteen, to her execution in 1793. Against the image of frivolity and excess that history has conveyed, Chalon presents a generous woman, an exemplary wife and mother, trapped in the intrigues of the court and in a destiny that ends her.
Volume 2 of the Grandes Mujeres collection by Salvat. Translation from French (Chère Marie-Antoinette).
For readers interested in historical biographies, in the history of France, and in the figure of Marie Antoinette.
