«Rabieta Trebejos» is the children's picture book by Manuel Monroy, published by Fondo de Cultura Económica in hardcover (34 pages, in Spanish).
Rabieta's grandmother runs an antique shop full of objects accumulated over the years. Each visit from the girl brings a curious gift, but this time the surprise is a single sock. Rabieta discovers that this solitary garment can be much more useful than she imagines and gives it creative and unexpected uses, in a story that celebrates imagination and the value of everyday things.
The book belongs to the collection «Los Especiales De A La Orilla Del Viento» and was awarded the A la Orilla del Viento Picture Book Contest in 1998.
Recommended for children aged 4 to 7 and for early readers who enjoy ingenious stories about everyday objects.
