«Schnüpperle: Vierundzwanzig Geschichten zur Weihnachtszeit» is the Christmas storybook by Barbara Bartos-Höppner, published by cbj in hardcover.
The protagonist, Schnüpperle, is a five-year-old boy who shares his daily life with his family and his dog Purzel. Among his adventures throughout the year are a pony festival and a trip to Italy, though his greatest wish is Christmas. To make the wait more pleasant, his mother prepares an Advent calendar for him: twenty-four stories, one for each day of December until Christmas Eve.
German edition of 160 pages, published in 1994 with illustrations by Julia Wittkamp.
For children aged 6 and up, suitable for both early readers and reading aloud with the family during Advent.
