«Sin noticias de Gurb» is the satirical novel by Eduardo Mendoza, published by Seix Barral in paperback (160 pages, in Spanish).
An alien arrives in pre-Olympic Barcelona and loses track of his companion Gurb, who has taken on the appearance of Marta Sánchez. The search, narrated as a diary, becomes a satire of the city and its inhabitants, with absurd adventures that portray everyday Barcelona as a carnival of masks.
Twentieth-anniversary commemorative edition that recovers the original illustrations by Perico Pastor.
