«Sócrates en 90 minutos» is Paul Strathern's philosophical popularisation essay, published by Siglo XXI de España in paperback (87 pages, in Spanish).
Socrates left no written work; the author reconstructs his figure and thought. He explains the method of questioning, dialectic as a precursor to logic and the turn towards self-knowledge, and situates his trial in the Athens of his time. The work includes sayings attributed to Socrates, recommended readings and chronologies.
It belongs to the collection «Filósofos en 90 minutos» (volume 22). Translation by José A. Padilla Villate; original English edition: «Socrates in 90 Minutes».
Suitable for readers approaching philosophy for the first time and looking for a brief, enjoyable introduction to Socrates' thought.
Paul Strathern is a Scots-Irish writer and academic.
