«Solidaridad y voluntariado» is the essay by Joaquín García Roca, published by Editorial Sal Terrae in paperback (282 pages, in Spanish).
The essay analyzes volunteering as a heterogeneous and plural reality, rich in experiences but poor in theoretical reflection. It contrasts the rise of voluntary organizations with the weakness of their conceptual frameworks, proposes a journey through voluntary action and its own culture, and confronts volunteering with social policies.
It is number 12 in the «Presencia Social» collection; second edition published in 1998.
Aimed at volunteers, social entities, social intervention professionals and readers of social philosophy.
