«Sopa de cola de lagartija» is the children's novel by Marta Gené Camps, published by edebé in paperback (128 pages, in Spanish).
Candela has just turned twelve and, without knowing why, sometimes sees in her mind things that have not yet happened. Unable to keep them quiet, she says them with all her innocence; her neighbors begin to fear her and end up calling her a witch. The story shows the incomprehension of those who are different and how fear of the unknown feeds prejudice.
It belongs to edebé's Tucán Verde collection, number 40. It won the Edebé Prize for Children's Literature in 2009.
Aimed at readers aged 10 to 12 looking for stories about incomprehension, fear of the unknown and acceptance of differences.
