«Summa Kaòtica» is the novel by Ventura Ametller, published by Editorial Laia in 1986 in paperback (447 pages, in Catalan).
The work is a literary kaleidoscope: the three-phase biography of Protomorphus-Anamorphus-Metamorphus begins before birth and covers the protagonist's childhood, with family and political vicissitudes during the republican period. It shuns naturalism, interprets reality and interweaves cultural, magical, mythical and philosophical references.
The novel belongs to the series «El Mirall i el temps» and includes a prologue by Valerià Pujol.
For readers of contemporary Catalan fiction who appreciate formal experimentation and cultural and philosophical allusions.
