«Tertulia de boticas y escuela de curanderos» is a work of fiction by Álvaro Cunqueiro, published by Destino in hardcover (210 pages, in Spanish).
Álvaro Cunqueiro brings together a journey through legendary apothecaries and pharmacies, from the apothecary of Elsinore or the pharmacy of Mecca to the poisons of Mahaut d'Artois, and a gallery of Galician healers. History, fantasy and humor combine in a work about the human quest for a long life, inspired by his father's apothecary in Mondoñedo.
The book belongs to the Áncora y Delfín collection (volume 491) and is the first edition, published in Barcelona in 1976.
For readers interested in the history of pharmacy, folk medicine and Cunqueiro's fantastic narratives.
