«Uma casa na Irlanda» is the novel by Maeve Binchy, published by 11X17 in paperback (783 pages, in European Portuguese).
Ria and Marylin live thousands of miles apart, separated by the Atlantic: one in a Victorian house in Dublin, the other in a modern house in New England. When both need a change of scenery, they swap their houses for the summer, and the exchange brings neighbors, friendships, gossip and unexpected situations.
The original novel, «Tara Road», was published in 1998; this Portuguese edition is translated by Lídia Geer.
Suitable for book clubs and readers of contemporary Irish fiction, with female protagonists and personal relationships.
