«Un día con Jules» is the novel by Diane Broeckhoven, published by Maeva Ediciones in paperback (80 pages, in Spanish).
Alice and Jules are an elderly couple who have made routine a form of complicity. One morning, Alice finds him dead on the sofa and spends the day beside him recalling their life together: the honeymoon, the trips, the good and bad times. A tender and ironic novel about love, memory, and the words left unsaid.
The work was originally published as «De buitenkant van meneer Jules»; this Spanish version belongs to the Littera collection, with translation by Marta Arguilé Bernal.
For readers seeking a brief, intimate novel about mature love and loss, with a close and moving tone.
