«Un lieu à soi» is the philosophy essay by Anissa Castel, published by Gallimard Jeunesse Giboulées in paperback (80 pages, in French).
The book starts from an observation: we all live somewhere, and that own space is part of what we are. In four chapters, Anissa Castel reflects on how we make the places we inhabit our own and how, by encountering other points of view, we learn to be cultural beings and to share the world with others.
It belongs to the collection «Chouette! penser!» and includes drawings by Emmanuel Polanco. Anissa Castel, a philosopher, has written other philosophy works for young people.
For young readers beginning philosophy, with accessible reflections on identity and the space we inhabit.
