«Una comedia ligera» is the humorous and intriguing novel by Eduardo Mendoza, published by Planeta-De Agostini in hardcover (383 pages).
In a postwar Barcelona summer, a distinguished playwright whose works are beginning to seem outdated lives his maturity amid indecision and several love affairs. The story seems a comedy of manners, but a crime turns it into a police mystery; the investigation also serves to portray the characters and their era.
This 1999 edition is part of the collection «Los grandes autores de la narrativa española actual» and the text is in Spanish.
The novel is ideal for readers of Spanish fiction who enjoy irony, humor and detective mystery.
