«Una granota reial» is a children's story by Maria Carme Roca, published by Barcanova in paperback (64 pages, in Catalan).
Prince Adalbert is a kind and handsome young man, though so shy that he goes mute before prospective brides. As if that weren't enough, the witch Malespuces turns him into a frog, and the spell will only be broken if a princess kisses him. The story follows the tangle that forms while the prince seeks to escape his amphibian condition.
It is part of the Sopa de Llibres collection, in its orange series, and features illustrations by Esther Lecina. Published in 2007.
Aimed at boys and girls aged 6 to 8 who are beginning to read independently.
