«Una historia familiar» is the young adult novel by Christine Nöstlinger, published by Oxford University Press España in paperback (288 pages, in Spanish).
The narrative follows Gretchen Sackmeier, a fourteen-year-old teenager, and her family, the Sackmeiers, nicknamed the Five Sacks in the neighborhood. When her mother, Elisabeth, decides to work and resume her studies to become a social worker, the family balance breaks and Gretchen experiences that transformation in the midst of adolescence.
It is the first installment of the Gretchen Sackmeier series and is part of the El Árbol de la Lectura collection; translated by María Luisa Delgado.

Christine Nöstlinger was an Austrian writer best known for children's books. She received one of two inaugural Astrid Lindgren Memorial Awards from the Swedish Arts Council in 2003, the biggest prize in children's literature, for her career contribution to "children's and young adult literature in the broadest sense." She received the Hans Christian Andersen Medal for "lasting contribution to children's literature" in 1984 and was one of three people through 2012 to win both of these major international awards.
