«Una misión peligrosa» is a young adult novel by Tormod Haugen, published by Alfaguara in paperback (240 pages, in Spanish).
The narrative starts from a recurring dream: the protagonist rides a white horse in a desperate flight through forests and roads, surrounded by black riders, pain and death. That dreamlike experience becomes the center of an adventure where the line between the real and the dreamed blurs.
Published in 1991, it falls within children's and young adult literature (ISBN 9788420447377).
Aimed at a young adult audience, it combines adventure with a dreamlike and mysterious atmosphere.
Tormod Haugen was a Norwegian writer of children's books and translator. For his "lasting contribution to children's literature" he received the international Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 1990.
